So. The H1N1 vaccine. What do you think? I’ll probably get one myself (as a healthcare worker, I’ll be offered one). But what about Bub? On one hand, the vaccine is new. Untested. Unproven. Possibly dangerous. The swine flu vaccine from the ’70’s carried with it an increased risk of Guillain-Barre. In fact, my childhood neighbor became disabled from that. Or [...] In August, I went with Bub and my mom to the Minnesota Garlic Festival. There’s a lot of garlic there, of course. But I think the festival is misnamed. It’s really all about sustainable farming, eating locally, and being kind to the environment. We ate lunch at The Great Scape Cafe, the festival’s restaurant. The menu features local foods [...] I read a lot of blogs. I used to read books. Now I read blogs! I’ve learned SO much from blogs. I get so much inspiration from them.
Right now, I’m totally crushing on the blog Chez Larsson. It’s written by a woman named Benita Larsson, who lives in Sweden. All of these photos are hers [...] One day, I was sitting at my in-laws’, holding Bub on my lap. Our 2 year old niece walked up. Bub leaned down, and gave her a hug. AND HELD ON. It was one of the sweetest things I’ve ever seen. These two are buds. Just give them a year or two–I’ll be wondering where this [...] |
